Chamber Music Art Foundation

The Chamber Music Art Foundation (CMAF) was created to promote the genre of chamber music and to help young musicians to advance in their music careers and to excel in their chamber music skills through coaching and training and by performing together with professional musicians in the same chamber ensemble.

We want to bring the best of chamber music to as many people as possible to help them to develop an appreciation of chamber music, to find a sense of balance and fulfillment, discover meaning, and connection to others.

The Chamber Music Concert in Sierra Ball Room Sun City Palm Desert on January 12, 2013 featured two outstanding young musicians, a virtuoso violinist Zlata Grekov and a brilliant young cellist Ying Jun Wei. with CMAF Artistic Director Tanya Kodinsky at the piano. Concert program included Johann Sebastian Bach Prelude From Cello Suite No. 6, Cesar Franck’s Sonata in A, Adagio in G minor by Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni, a beautiful Libertango for violin, cello and piano by Astor Piazzolla as well as various pieces for violin, cello and piano. The Chamber Music Concert on September 2, 2012 featured two outstanding young musicians, a very talented young violinist Thomas Hofmann and a brilliant young cellist Ying Jun Wei. with CMAF Artistic Director Tanya Kodinsky at the piano. Concert program includes the 3rd and 4th movements from Cesar Franck’s Sonata in A, beautiful Oblivion, Winter and Spring tangos for violin, cello and piano by Astor Piazzolla, Frolov’s Piece in Blues as well as various pieces for violin, cello and piano. Sun City Palm Desert

The January 7, 2012 concert program featured Beethoven's famous Piano Trio in E-flat major and the 2nd movement of  Victor Herbert's Cello Concerto No.2. Another highlight of the afternoon was Sergej Rachmaninoff's  Trio Elegiaque and two Ástor Piazzolla's tangos composed for piano trio. Performing in the concert were a virtuoso violinist Zlata Grekov a talented young cellist Ying Jun Wei. with CMAF Artistic Director Tanya Kodinsky at the piano. Chamber Music Concert January 16, 2011

The Chamber Music Concert on January 16, 2011 featured a young violinist star Zlata Grekov. Zlata performed Schubert's Sonata in A Op. 62 with CMAF Artistic Director Tanya Kodinsky at the piano. Another highlight of the afternoon was their performance of Pablo de Sarasate's “Zigeunerweisen” (Gypsy Airs) and George Gershwin & Igor Frolov Concert Fantasia on Themes from Gershwin's Opera “ Porgy and Bess”.

Chamber Music Concert on Santuit Pond

October 3, 2010

The Chamber Music Concert on October 3, 2010 was a fund-raising concert to buy a cello for a young cellist star Ying Jun Wei. In her solo performance Ying Jun perfomed Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 1 Prelude in G. She also performed Frederic Chopin's Nocturne and Pablo de Sarasate's Zapateado together with CMAF Artistic Director Tanya Kodinsky at the piano. Another highlight of the afternoon was their performance of Gabriel Faure's Apres un Reve, Rachmaninoff's Vocalise and Sarasate's Zigueerweisen. Click here for a Concert Program.
